Acupuncture

Maureen McLaughlin, LAc has been practicing since 1997 and uses sterile, disposable, single-use needles with gentle insertion. Her treatments are highly effective and almost all report deep relaxation and a sense of true wellbeing and good energy during the session.

Chinese Medicine/Chinese Herbs

Maureen will be conducting herbal consults for patients in Fall 2022. You can have chinese herbal therapy as a stand-alone treatment (in conjunction with acupuncture or not).

Maureen McLaughlin

Maureen McLaughlin is Board Certified in both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. Before attending Traditional Chinese Medicine Graduate School, she had obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from Georgetown University’s School of Languages & Linguistics.

Maureen is a holistic acupuncturist with a private practice in Stoughton, Wisconsin (near Madison WI) who specializes in infertility, pregnancy, and postpartum. She has been administering acupuncture, with high success rates, at IVF transfers since 2003.

She practices Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture and microneedling, and helps with menopause for the “over 40” population.

Additionally, she treats all conditions that are recognized as responsive to acupuncture and its adjunctive techniques such as gastrointestinal, musculoskeletal, upper respiratory, emotional/mental, neurological, gynecological and dermatological.

Treatment modalities include acupuncture, lifestyle changes and chinese & western dietary therapy, traditional fire cupping, gua sha [scraping the skin], electroacupuncture, moxabustion, heat lamp therapy, acupressure, (she is a Certified Acupressurist) and chinese herbal medicine. Currently Maureen gives acupuncture on-site at transfers at Advanced Fertility Center of Chicago in Gurnee, IL.
